Bootstrap has a long history of supporting its tenants to start up and grow. Bootstrap is home to approx 200 tenants that are made up of approx 500 people across the Print House, Colourworks and Fitzroy House.
We offer a large programme of diverse business support including regular themed workshops and training sessions. We work alongside tenants to find out which areas they would most like support and cater our support to suit. The topics cover everything from finance and accounting to branding and marketing.
We follow up these workshops and training sessions with 1:1 tailored support. As new tenants join us they complete a business canvas with a dedicated training manager to help them, and us, to understand their training needs and how best to support them to flourish.
Bootyard is a pioneering project to turn a neglected car park, at the rear of the Bootstrap buildings, into a new start-up space for social businesses and community activities. The project is growing organically, with The Dusty Knuckle Bakery and the 40FT Brewery as our lead tenants for the space.
In early 2014 Bootstrap ran a competition for startups to submit their enterprise ideas, the prize being a shipping container to grow their business in the Bootyard.

The ‘Enterprise Bootcamp’ is a pioneering programme to equip young entrepreneurs with the tools to startup their own business. The course is delivered over 12 weeks and introduces participants to industry experts, teaches them the cornerstones of running a business as well as a mentor and the opportunity to pitch for funding at the end of the programme.
In the Autumn 2015 programme 10 of the young entrepreneurs applied to UnLtd and in total received over £23,500 in funding.
Below is the trailer for the Enterprise Bootcamp. Read about our programme in full here.
