Bootstrap offers enterprise support in a number of ways to it’s tenant cohort which comprises over 500 people working in approximately 200 organisations. This enterprise support takes multiple forms from free finance workshops to tenant networking events.
Bootyard is a pioneering project to turn a neglected car park, at the rear of the Bootstrap buildings, into a new start-up space for social businesses and community activities. The project is growing organically, with The Dusty Knuckle Bakery and the 40FT Brewery as our lead tenants for the space.
In early 2014 Bootstrap ran a competition for startups to submit their enterprise ideas, the prize being a shipping container to grow their business in the Bootyard.
The ‘Enterprise Bootcamp’ is a pioneering programme to equip young entrepreneurs with the tools to startup their own business. The course is delivered over 12 weeks and introduces participants to industry experts, teaches them the cornerstones of running a business as well as a mentor and the opportunity to pitch for funding at the end of the programme.
In the Autumn 2015 programme 10 of the young entrepreneurs applied to UnLtd and in total received over £23,500 in funding.
