Ross’s interest in Bootstrap started as a punter enjoying the views from Dalston Roof Park, and it wasn’t long before he was looking for other ways to get involved. In particular, Ross likes the genuine sense of creativity, focus and energy that is shared by the organisations based at Bootstrap, and he admires how this potential is nurtured, shared and grown by the building and the dedicated team that run it. “It is so easy to see the connection between this place and a healthy community” he says.
Ross currently leads neighbourhood regeneration and economic growth schemes for the public sector and runs his own artisan food small business. He is proud of his cross sector experience and has in the past has been heavily involved in the environmental, processing, international development, 3D modelling and biomechanics sectors – predominantly in a project management capacity. It is this broader experience that he believes is most relevant to his work on the Board.
Ross has a PhD in constraint modelling and a Masters in Engineering. He is widely travelled and is easily fascinated by the simplest examples of human endeavour and the wider world.
