Bootstrap Company believes in the power of creative and social microenterprises to be a critical asset in the regeneration of communities - our core activities are focused on three things:

· Supporting Small to Medium size Enterprises – As well as providing high quality, affordable managed workspace, we also support our tenants by providing tailored business support, providing networking opportunities and promoting their work

· Piloting innovative educational projects – By leveraging the creative enterprises that are part of the Bootstrap community we develop programs that focus on creative learning and career building

· Creating a space for cultural exchange - Striving to push borders on re-imagining space and creating unconventional experience are central to our enterprise.   We manage a gallery showcasing up and coming artists, a bunker space used for a variety of art and dance performances and the Dalston Roof Parks various events.

Roof Park

The Dalston Roof Park will be opening it's doors on April 13th 2012. If your interested in using the space for public or private hire please e-mail us for booking contracts and prices.

To become a 'friend of the Dalston Roof Park' you can sign up for free membership at the bottom of our homepage or you can sign up at reception. You'll then be given your own membership card which will give you access to the roof for the whole Summer. For events listings check our Roof Park page. 

This Summer we will be hosting a diverse programme of cultural events. We are booking in a series of outdoor film screenings and acoustic music events and members of the local community will be engaging in the management of the garden.

As well as the garden, our pop-up bar will launch with a brand new team and will be open every evening from 5pm serving cold drinks and a variety of summer cocktails. A combination of Steven Berkoff's skillful dynamic writing, exhilarating physical performances and atmospheric surroundings, this production promises to be a breath-taking and beautiful exhibition of the story of Christ.

Bootstrap Company in Hackney is looking for a CEO

 Bootstrap Company exists to support and facilitate the growth of micro, creative and social enterprises and provides high quality managed workspace. Based in Dalston, Hackney, we currently manage 55,000 square feet of work space that altogether hosts 150 charities, social enterprises, micro- and creative businesses.
 
We are looking for a new CEO who can head the charity at an exciting time of expansion. Leading a core team of seven and seasonal team of up to 12, the CEO will manage the day to day business of the charity as well as strategically leading the organisation through a new growth phase. The ideal candidate will have senior management experience in property and/or in the social enterprise environment, excellent financial, communication, interpersonal and customer service skills and enable us to achieve outstanding results in line with Bootstrap Company’s business plan. A passion for community based social and micro entrepreneurship  as well as an understanding of local government processes would not go amiss either!
 
This is a full time position but we will also consider part time or job share applications. The place of work is Dalston, Hackney.
 
Salary: £40,000-45,000 pro rata depending on experience.
